Return to Cuba!!

CUBA IS BACK

Yes - we are renting another cube, and this one is bigger and better than the last!
The beautiful Vicki at incub8r has agreed to let us rent a window cube, and we stocked the sucker up on Thursday.
incub8r sells our stock on a no commission basis - our cube is one of ninety, all containing items from different artists - all from Brisbane and all 100% handmade.
Our cube is located at 368 Brunswick Street,
Fortitude Valley (a few doors down from New York Slice) - you can't miss our cube, it's covered in cupcakes!

So the next time you're in the Valley (drunk or sober - perhaps on the way to New York Slice?) you should pop in & have a look - all the other cubes are awesome too, and definately worth a look.

Finally an update...

It's been a while...
No, we're not dead - just been super busy with awesome shit.
Late March we donated a giant Twitter bird to Brisbane Twestival - all proceeds went to the amazing charity Mummy's Wish - a charity that provides services to mums suffering from varieties of cancers.
It auctioned off to the beautiful Tara for a crazy $200! We were sprung by her after jumping up & down & screaming with delight outside - embarrassing much?

We also pulled the cube, but that's cool.

& we made our first two overseas sales, which is pretty exciting for two girls who spend most of their time playing with fabric & clay.

Why we don't have nice things

Gone to CUBA

Not really. But we did stock the cube!

We had cute girls stalking us as we were putting our stock in...fully peeping over our shoulder and everything! Pretending to stare at other cubes...
Little did they know, Kirby can understand Japanese, HAH!
Our cube is located at CYBER CITY 2002 Fortitude Valley in Brisbane.
They're open til super late every night, & has the most delicious food we have ever eaten, & Tsing Tao tallies as big as your fucking head for $5...

Life's pretty sweet if you're us!!

So we were eating lunch the other day in our favorite food & beer emporium, minding our own business, when we see a sign for Cubes for sale! (A cube is a small cube-shaped object where you can put your shit, & the shop will sell it for you...)
SO WE BOUGHT ONE. Risque move we know, but what the hell.
So as soon as we put on pants, we will be jetting to the Valley to fill the sucker up.

Twestival 2011

Our beautiful friend Nikki Jensen (organiser of Twestival 2009-2011) has given us the opportunity to sell our wears at this years Twestival!
In previous years, Twestival has raised over $5000 for charity - so everything is for a good cause.

We will be donating a goodie to the arts auction - for now though that's a surprise.

More info to come, but we're bouncing off the walls over here!!

We're starting to notice more & more people online that are attempting to sell items & claiming them to be "handmade".
It is NOT original if you've just bought a piece of material with eyes and ears already drawn on, cut around the shape, sewed it up & claim it as your own.

I thought people would have known from primary school that this shit is called Plagarism - imagine how pissed you'd be if you designed the whole thing and someone ripped you off? Making money off someone else's hard work - not fair.

Oh, & thanks for stealing our photos too, now I have to spend an extra 15 minutes of my life putting watermarks on all that shit. If you're gonna re-blog, at least add a link?? & Please stop posting our shit to weheartit - we are NOT affilated with them AT ALL!
